Excelsior beach. Campiello Literature Award, 48th edition

premio campielloThe 48th edition of the Literature Award, Premio Campiello, cultural event sponsored and organized by Confindustria Veneto since 1962, took place in two different dates and venues: Friday, September 3rd, at the Pavillon by the Excelsior Beach, in occasion of the 67th edition of the Venice Film Festival, it was hold the ceremony of the five authors who are finalists Gianrico Carofiglio with “Le perfezioni provvisorie” (Sellerio), Gad Lerner with “Scintille. Una storia di anime vagabonde” (Feltrinelli), Laura Pariani with “Milano è una selva oscura” (Einaudi), Antonio Pennacchi with “Canale Mussolini” (Knopf) and Michela Murgia with “Accabadora” (Einaudi). Michela Murgia was proclaimed winner, Saturday, September 4th, in occasion of the traditional closing ceremony at the Gran Teatro La Fenice, by “Fondazione Il Campiello” lead by its president Andrea Tomat.

Excelsior Beach, 2011. The Outdoor Fendi Collection was present at Venice Lido with some of the most exclusive lines, which express the craftsmanship, the whole "Made in Italy", in a contemporary design. On the occasion of the 68th edition of the Venice Film Festival, Fendi Casa has furnished the Film Room, an elegant and impressive space in the garden of the Hotel Excelsior directly facing the beach, designed to welcome guests and media.

''Pavillon sûr la plage'', the Excelsior Beach live the cinema

pavillonThe Excelsior beach in occasion of the 68th edition of the Venice Film Festival, was the most sought location for events of this Festival 2011. A tensile structure, installed for the occasion directly on sand in front of the historic Hotel, has allowed the same beach to be the heart of social events, like the opening and closing party of the Film Festival, the show Venezia Fashion Night and the Unicef gala dinner.
