New Year 2010. Des Bains’ Beach: a festive crowd celebrated the diving event of the ''Hibernatus''
Des Bains Beach. Noon punctual, it was the signal for fifty "braves" who performed a strange rite that took place on January 1st for 32 years now: the sea-bath of the ''Hibernatus''! Despite the cold temperature and the dark sky, a thousand people was waiting for this strange-dip-celebration of the brand new year. As to accumulate the last warmth drafts, the swimmers ran across the crowd before the frosty diving.
After this exploit, all the participants were invited to a traditional warmhearted lunch. Steamed sausages, lentils and wine heated up the audience. Warm wishes for an happy new year until the next freezing appointment on January 1st 2011.
