Darren Aronofsky and the Venice Film Festival
September 2010. Excelsior Beach in the background, the director Darren Aronofsky returns to compete at the Venice Film Festival. After winning the ''Leone d’Oro'' in 2008 with the drama ''The Wrestler'', a film that also marked the comeback of an unrecognizable Mickey Rourke, Aronowsky returns to the Lido with his ''Black Swan'' psychological thriller set in New York ballet world. This is the film that officially opened the 67th edition of the Venice International Film Festival, with Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis, Vincent Cassel, Barbara Hershey, Winona Ryder.
